Earthquake in Florida? - God Keeps an Account with Nations and Cities! - Posted: January 12, 2020

On October 8, 2017, there is an article on this website entitled, "More Earthquakes Coming!" This is a follow up to that writing. The following are some excerpts from that 2017 article:

"The earthquakes that rocked Mexico last month [September 2017, Chiapas and Puebla earthquakes] were the beginning of more to come. We see in the horrific [earthquakes], hurricanes and floods both judgment and mercy. Property was destroyed, but the loss of life was minimal. Poor islands such as Puerto Rico suffered great devastation from Hurricane Maria. God watches to see how rich nations like America will respond."

"Puerto Rico suffered immensely from Hurricane Maria [September 20, 2017]. It is my belief that in answer to prayer, God mercifully spared Florida from the brunt of Hurricane Irma [ten days prior - September 10, 2017]."

"Whatever the reason, the U.S. failure to adequately help suffering Americans in Puerto Rico has been shamefully appalling." Puerto Rico: 100 days in... The San Diego Union Tribune, 12/27/2017

"From mercy to judgment, will Florida suffer a reversal because of America's callous response to Puerto Rico? God is not arbitrary in managing the events of human history."—October 8, 2017

"Florida did suffer a reversal when Hurricane Michael struck on October 10, 2018, one year later."

Florida did suffer a reversal when Hurricane Michael struck on October 10, 2018, one year later. It was predicted to pass by Florida as a tropical storm, but mysteriously intensified to a Category 5 Hurricane to strike the Florida panhandle with utter devastation to Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe.

PBS.org - October 11, 2018

"Why Hurricane Michael took everyone by surprise..." 1

"America's best forecasters originally expected Hurricane Michael to cruise toward the U.S. as tropical storm and, at worst, arrive as a Category 1 storm."

Again, in the article written on this website October 8, 2017, the following statement was made concerning an earthquake in Florida:

"Florida is not known for seismic activity, but it is my deep concern that Florida may experience an earthquake as a judgment from God."—October 8, 2017

On January 7, 2020, an earthquake struck Puerto Rico. As of the writing of this article, aftershocks continue in Puerto Rico.

What has America done to help Puerto Rico, a territory of the United States?

The Washington Post - January 9, 2020

"Hit by devastating earthquakes, Puerto Rico still waiting on billions for hurricane relief." 2

"As Puerto Rico weathers devastating earthquakes, the island is still waiting on more than $18 billion in federal funding that was designated after hurricanes that struck more than two years ago."

"There are needs that need to be met, there has been a disaster designated, but the ongoing withholding of funds appropriated by Congress to Puerto Rico is illegal."

Is the United States still unsympathetic to the needs of the poor and unfortunate in Puerto Rico? Have we as a country lost our willingness to show compassion and mercy to other nations? Will Florida suffer another reversal and now endure a devastating earthquake because of our continued neglect toward Puerto Rico?

Today, January 12, 2020, marks the ten year anniversary of a historic earthquake that struck Haiti and killed over 200,000 people on January 12, 2010. America's outpouring of compassion and help to this poor country was unprecedented. Now ten years latter, we are doing comparatively nothing to help poor Puerto Rico. God will judge our nation for this cold-hearted neglect.

America must heed the counsel given in Daniel 4:27, "... break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility."

There are no natural fault lines that run near to Florida. It is considered to be in an earthquake free zone. The largest known earthquake ever to strike Florida occurred January 12, 1879, exactly 141 years ago from the date of this article. It was recorded as "a tremor [that] knocked plaster off walls in homes in St. Augustine" - The Sun Sentinel, March 21, 2010. But the judgments of God are not bound by the scientific reasoning of men. Scientist may say that a major earthquake can never happen in Florida, but in the days of Noah they said it would never rain. Florida is seriously close to suffering a devastating earthquake. God keeps an account with nations and cities.

Let every Christian awake. The last movements of this earth's history is in the making. Soon, there will be a time of trouble such as never was since the beginning of this earth's drama between good and evil.

Prepare. A cataclysmic earthquake will soon strike California.
